Women’s Football in Football Manager 2025
Women’s football will feature for the first ever time in the Football Manager series when Football Manager 2025 is released later this year in what is a groundbreaking move for the game but also for Women’s football as a whole.
Bringing women’s football into the game has been something Sports Interactive have wanted to do since 2021 and it’s now been confirmed for FM25 along with the announcement of the new unity graphics engine after an announcement by Miles Jacobson, the studio director at Sports Interactive back in June 2023.
Female staff have long been available in Football Manager and in more recent editions Female managers such as Emma Hayes have been integrated into the mens’ game, often taking available jobs once a save game has been started. However, it’s undeniable that this announcement will mean a huge focus on female football, with women’s football teams, leagues and most importantly players all featuring for the first ever time in FM25.
With official details still limited, it remains to be seen what exactly this will look like for FM25.
